PAINTING AND PHOTOGRAPHY
While photography can never replace time spent with a pencil and paper to draw, it has a valuable place as an image gathering tool. Sometimes the camera can see things that you wouldn't ordinarily see. The camera can be used to alter a scene: colors morph and focal points change.
Our focus will be on the multitude of ways to use your camera to help you gather images that can be used later in the studio. We will cover various aspects of photographing indoors, at night, and capturing alluring images for later use. We will cover the use of aperture with focal length, the best landscape lenses, and best lenses for architectural work.
All the photos on this website have been taken over the years while traveling in Italy.
